BIO

SAINT KD

SAINT KD (born Konstantinos Drosinos; 14 March 2000) is a British singer,

songwriter and actor.

He is known for his flamboyant stage persona and religious references in

music and style. He is an up and coming pop rock performer who

started his more recent career from London’s underground gay bar scene.

Born in 2000 in Greece to Greek-Armenian root parents and moved to

England at age of 7, SAINT KD attended English-style boarding schools

in Greece and continued his primary school studies, High School and

college in Portsmouth England.

SAINT KD since a kid was always creating and being involved with art.

KD began performing as a kid in local theatre groups and later in stand-up

comedy shows and school plays.

He studied Acting and Performance at the University of Portsmouth and

soon after he started working as a creative director of his own freelance

company. At the same time, KD is always creating, writing music, producing

social media projects and gradually creating his pop persona, and starting

his career in London's gay club scene.

Early Life

Konstantinos Drosinos was born on March 14, 2000, at Genesis Birth Obstetrics Gynecology

surgery clinic in Thessaloniki Greece, to a middle-class Christian Orthodox family.

His parents are Eleni Drosinou/Vakia and Aristides Drosinos and he has an older sister named

Evi and a twin sister Katerina. SAINT KD said once that his family supported him from the

first day of his career and always was there to financially and

emotionally support his vision and bring his art to life.

KD has spoken about the difficulties that he faced at high school as a dyslectic kid but also being bullied about his appearance and sexuality.

SAINT KD, began creating his own theatrical, music video, and general art productions at the age of 9. He only took one theatre lesson from a small local club he joined just for a day because as he said the theatre teacher was just " a clown, that made me really bored".

His parents passionately encouraged him to pursue his career, sending him to study at the University of Portsmouth in the south of England. As a teenager, he created a drama club that was running as director, artistic director, and producer for two years.

Amongst, other monologues and school plays he wrote, directed, and produced a revamped version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet called "Romeo and Juliet, the unwritten story, that was a modern version of the classic with a parody look on society, TV and pop culture inspired as he once said in an interview by Lady Gaga and Aristophanes, the ancient Greek comedy writer.

Saint KD, unsuccessfully also tried to apply for different theatre and cultural Studies in Greece.

KD later said of his strong connection towards art:

Sometimes it feels like it was always meant to be like I came to this earth to be creative and emotional. I remember drawing people without faces as a very young kid, I'd put all the details in their clothes and their movement, and elaborate colors, but never faces. I guess I was trying to say something about people even back then. I'm just kidding.

At age of 17, KD was given an unconditional offer to study at three Universities in the United Kingdom. De Montfort University in Leicester, England has a very powerful degree in arts and musical performance, the University of Bristol and the University of Portsmouth that he and his family chose as they said due to the fact that it was closer to London and the transition moving there after the studies would be easier.

He studied the history of theatre, applied and immersive theatre, and also took vocal and movement classes. He also studied Stanislavski's Techniques that as he says really formed his acting and directorial Identity, but also method acting and Sense Memory.

Alongside others, he joined the university's Musical and Theatre society where he took part in a revival production of West Side Story and an immersive theatre production of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House.

During his university years, he participated in multiple student short film productions and directors' masterclasses as a monologue actor and played the roles of Malvolio from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, the lead role of Lysistrata, and smaller parts in his class revival version of Spring Awakening.

He was once called "a great character actor " by one of his university directors and won an award from the musical society for the most laughed line from the audience during a play.

In the meantime KD is working part-time in local gay bars as a stand-up comedy actor and performer while working daily on his craft by writing lyrics, producing social media projects, and making costumes for himself and local drag queens. Also working as a freelance photographer and videographer to earn money so he can produce his shows.

During his graduation year at University, he produces and directs a version of Fear and Misery of the Third Reich by Bertolt Brecht and writes and co-directs an original musical play called Deos (gr. δέος), a pop music parody immersive performance and a tribute to the music legends that inspired him.

Many claim that KD is an atheist artist that tries to mock and get the advantage of Christianity and the symbols of the church but as he supports he believes in the existence of God as much as he believes in the existence of the Devil.

The fact is that his Bachelor's Dissertation had the theme "The representation of Jesus Christ and the symbols of Good and Evil in performance".

Career Beginnings

In 2019 after graduating from University, KD tries to start and pursue a career first as a model, signing with a small models London agency and doing photoshoots as a model for extra pocket money. Later this year he forms his own small company and he produces performances on Portsmouth art scene and in London performing on open mic nights in gay bars and neighborhood pubs.

SAINT KD, starts creating music more actively in 2020 and when the Covid-19 pandemic strikes the world KD finds the time to collaborate with producers from the US And England and starts to create his pop/rock music signature.

Martin Moreira, a Spanish music producer, and music coach work alongside KD and they produce some of his new music at the end of 2021. Saint KD doesn't only perform his songs. He is the mind behind the first thought, he imagines the project, melody, use of references tone, and musicality of the song. He is not a trained musician but he chooses the instrumentation and direction of each song he creates.

Birth of Saint KD

SAINT KD hasn't yet explained the meaning behind his stage name although some assume that KD is the initials of his baptism's name.

Through the imagery, posing, and posts description on social media we can assume there are Catholic and Orthodox church references in his art although his appearance is more inspired by down-town London's LGBTQI+ nightlife performers and artists.

Artistry

Influences:

SAINT KD, grew up listening to mostly English pop music. From Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry to more jazz sounds such as Amy Winehouse. Although his musical taste was also formed by his father's love for classic rock such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Queen who have all also influenced his music.

KD's musical inspiration varies from anthemic rock to pop and dance songs to also classic and jazz music but also he is a fan of techno and R&B music. SAINT KD always mentions as his biggest inspirations Freddie Mercury, Lady Gaga, and David Bowie.

The resemblance to this kind of artists Is more than obvious due to the use of over-the-top costumes, theatrics use, and immersive performance but also through the desire of creating visuals and music that is provocative, political, sexy, and wants to create a conversation.

He has been compared to Michael Jackson and Prince as he follows the narrative of the unapologetic glam pop without a clear sexual identity persona on stage and off stage.

Saint KD, was inspired by London's LGBTQI nightlife performers scene. But also with classic cultural figures such as the depiction of Jesus Christ in art but also from '60s 80's and 90's movie characters like Psycho's Anthony Perkins, Edward Scissorhands, and Joker.

Stylistically, he has been compared to Lady Gaga and Freddie Mercury as he references them both a lot in his live shows and music videos.

Musical Style and themes

Saint KD's musical and performance style can not be placed in one category. He constantly tries to challenge himself by using new imagery and music references to his music and shows. Saint KD combines a variety of music genres in his music agenda. His singing is much more playful in live concerts and free, all his studio work is embodied with production techniques to sound much more echoey almost always and with bigger depth.

His voice changes from time to time in recorded versions of his songs. Other times his voice is deeper and uses more of his European speaking accent, and other times higher voice with theatrical vocalizations and miking very posh British Accent.

SAINT KD is a baritone singer with a range spanning from B1- Bb6. He likes to adjust his vocal range regularly depending on the style of the song and the style of the performance. In ballad songs we will see him performing more static, allowing him to expand and use the strength of his voice, on the contrary in live performances that requires movement and choreography he seems to pay more attention to the dramatic representation of his voice during singing, he is more acting rather than singing the songs.

KD's songs have explored a vast range of themes. Some of the topics that SAINT KD really reflects and revisits in music are religion and faith, gender, sex, homosexuality, stardom, arts and fashion, nightlife, society, and mental health.

Debut EP: OVERTURE

OVERTURE (Debut Album, released 14 March 2024)

Released on his birthday, OVERTURE marked the beginning of SAINT KD’s artistic mythology — a pop rock debut that blurs the boundaries between music, theatre, and fantasy. “I wanted to give myself a gift,” KD reflects, “to celebrate my life, my queerness, and the world I have built inside me.”

Drawing inspiration from the grandeur of opera and operetta, as well as the intensity of fairytales, OVERTURE is both an introduction and a promise. It is the opening movement in a larger symphony of albums, each one designed to mirror a part of the operatic structure, while exploring new musical landscapes and emotional worlds.

Visually, SAINT KD embodies a gallery of characters  villains and angels, demons and dreamers  who inhabit the same stage, fragments of one opera. This theatrical metamorphosis reflects the album’s central question: how can a single artist contain multitudes, and how can those multitudes sing in unison?

With soaring pop rock anthems, delicate ballads, and a defiant queer spirit, OVERTURE sets the stage for everything to follow: the beginning of a larger journey, and the unveiling of a performer who dares to live inside his own opera.

OVERTURE unfolds like the opening act of a rock opera — a theatrical journey where each song is both a chapter in SAINT KD’s story and a role in his ever-shifting stage of characters. The album plays between metaphor and reality, fantasy and confession, reminding us that the lines between them are often blurred.

1. Up the Stairs — The overture begins in the heavens. Rising with tension and triumph, the song embodies the push and pull of two voices: one whispering “Yes, I can”, the other murmuring “No, I can’t.” For SAINT KD, this struggle is both literal and symbolic — born from a fear of heights and even the simple terror of escalators, yet transformed into an anthem of courage. It is a doorway into the opera, inviting listeners to confront their own fears while ascending toward something greater.

2. toXic — A sharp-edged anthem of destructive allure, where passion becomes poison and love burns like fire.

3. Somewhere Over the Rainbow — A queer reclamation of the eternal classic, bridging childhood fairytales with adult self-discovery, carrying the rainbow as both a symbol of innocence and defiance.

4. F.L.O.P (Fucking Legend Of Pop) — Satirical, bold, and celebratory, this track crowns SAINT KD as both outsider and monarch, flipping the word “flop” into a badge of legend.

5. Lovers Anthem — A sweeping ode to love in all its rebellious universality, declaring desire as something holy and revolutionary.

6. Kill the Queen — Dark, operatic, and mischievous. A villain’s aria where power, downfall, and theatre intertwine.

7. French Kiss — Playful, seductive, and cinematic, balancing camp excess with genuine passion, like a scene stolen from a dream.

8. Go to Hell — The curtain falls with fire. After the journey through heaven, villains, angels, and lovers, the opera closes in flames: an invitation to descend into chaos and pleasure, to laugh at fear and dance in defiance. As SAINT KD himself says, “we’ve played our parts, now let’s go to hell — and have fun.”

Overture Interesting Facts:

Up the Stairs

All lyrics and melodies on OVERTURE are created by SAINT KD, with most of the production led by DR RITMO (producer and engineer based in Chile). Opening the album, Up the Stairs is performed with live instrumentation — piano, keyboards, and guitar — underscoring its raw emotional pull. The song represents rising from the heavens, a poetic struggle between two inner voices whispering “Yes I can” and “No I can’t.” Rooted in KD’s literal fear of heights and escalators, the track transforms personal anxiety into a universal anthem of courage. Its music video visually mirrors this ascent into his operatic world.

toXic

Paying homage to Britney Spears’ Toxic, KD rewrites the narrative. Where Britney sings “you’re toxic and I’m slipping under”, KD declares “you’re so toxic but I’m not slipping under.” The track challenges toxic relationships by flipping the script: you don’t have to stay, you don’t have to be afraid — you can walk away empowered.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

This deeply personal track opens with a vocal reference to Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, SAINT KD’s favorite princess film. Written during his university years on a rainy day after work, the song reflects his search for hope and draws inspiration from Judy Garland’s iconic performance. Yet KD crafts a completely new melody and lyrics, affirming: “But remember, just remember, that the dream will be shining bright.” For him, it’s a reminder that childhood dreams carry the core of who we are. Produced entirely by KD himself, the song seamlessly transitions into the satirical burst of F.L.O.P.

F.L.O.P (Fucking Legend Of Pop)

A comedic, satirical commentary on celebrity culture and pop stardom. SAINT KD imagined Lady Gaga herself singing this to a younger star imitating her, while also channeling Greek cinema icon Aliki Vougiouklaki — an actress beloved for always entertaining her audiences, even when mocked. F.L.O.P turns the insult of “flop” into a crown of defiance, celebrating pop culture’s camp and resilience.

Lovers Anthem

An ode to self-love and acceptance. Beginning nostalgically and building into a powerful ballad, the song samples “To Tsiggaro” by Greek singer Giannis Kotsiras. It’s an anthem of empowerment that transforms vulnerability into strength.

Kill the Queen

Theatrical, witchy, and unapologetically camp, this track lets SAINT KD slip into multiple personas: evil witch, red queen, knight, and court jester. Inspired partly by Bette Midler’s iconic Winifred Sanderson in Hocus Pocus, it’s a song of destroying insecurities, dismantling false thrones, and dancing freely. With backing vocals chanting “Kill the Queen, Kill the Witch, Kill the Bitch,” the track becomes both wicked fun and liberating.

French Kiss

Co-written with DR RITMO, this anthem was inspired by KD’s relationship with a French boyfriend, separated during the COVID-19 pandemic. The lyric “And now you say you love her” carries double meaning: while seemingly about another person, it’s a metaphor — in both Greek and French, “life” is a feminine word, so the lover choosing “her” is a poetic way of saying he chose life itself. A heartbreak rendered into romance and survival.

Go to Hell

One of KD’s most powerful creations, made in collaboration with the French band Zombie Zombie. A gothic, darkly triumphant anthem, it closes OVERTURE with flames: a declaration of unapologetic living, and a message to all heartbreaks, betrayals, and fears — “Go to hell.” Serving as the finale of Act I in KD’s unfolding opera, it invites the audience not into despair but into joy: a descent into chaos where freedom and fun await.

Live Performance — THE WEDDING OF SAINT KD & THE DEVIL

On 19 June 2025, SAINT KD brought OVERTURE to life with a one-of-a-kind live performance at Two Brewers, London. The Wedding of SAINT KD & The Devil was not just a concert — it was a theatrical ode to the debut album, blending music, performance art, and operatic storytelling into a single unforgettable evening.

The show saw SAINT KD fully embodying the characters of his OVERTURE world angels, villains, demons, and dreamers as they journeyed through the album’s narrative. Every song was staged like a scene from a rock opera, complete with intricate costumes, dynamic lighting, and immersive set designs that transformed the venue into a living stage. Audiences were invited into the fantasy, experiencing the music as a multi-dimensional story.

The performance was also captured in a short documentary film, available on YouTube, which offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the show, the meticulous preparation, and SAINT KD’s artistic vision in action. From rehearsals to full performance, the documentary highlights the interplay of music, theatre, and visual art that defines his artistry.

As a live event and cinematic experience, The Wedding of SAINT KD & The Devil reinforced SAINT KD’s reputation as a multidisciplinary artist — someone who not only writes and performs music but creates fully realized worlds where sound, story, and image collide.
